The National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia has paid special attention to the issue of children's rights, and in its 15th of the 22nd Reports on the State of Human Rights and Freedom, the issue of children's rights has been specifically addressed.

As of 2022, there are 36,363 half-orphans, 2,911 full orphans, and 1,478 adopted children in Mongolia.

Also, out of 974 children in the care and welfare center, 86 of them were registered with mild or severe disabilities.

Therefore, in the 23rd Report on the Status of Human Rights and Freedoms, which will be submitted to the State Great Khural in 2024, we are working to specifically address the issues of full orphans, half-orphans, orphans with severe disabilities, and “household head" children. Please cooperate and provide whatever information you have on them to B.Yanjmaa@nhrcm.gov.mn before December 20, 2023.
